We had a conversation with Rirhandzu, delving into the inspirations, materials, and processes that bring her signature knitwear collections to life.
Drawing from Personal History

The inspiration stems from two significant figures: the designer's late grandfather and father. "My grandfather had a unique sense of style that left an indelible mark on me. His fashion choices continue to influence my work. Additionally, the Pringle sweaters my father cherished evoke a sense of warmth and tradition that I strive to infuse into my creations."
The Tsonga Influence

The designer's Tsonga heritage plays a pivotal role in sparking creativity. Known for their vibrant celebration of colour, pattern, and texture, the Tsonga culture is a rich tapestry of diverse and intricate designs.
