With 16 years’ experience in the fashion industry, he has become one of the go-to designers for discerning clientele who desire red-carpet glamour, luxurious resort wear, and bridal couture.
Hailing from Kathu, a mining town in the Northern Cape, South Africa, Stephen Van Eeden’s journey in fashion began at Cape Cobra Leathercraft, where he designed accessories for multiple brands.
This allowed him to collaborate with international brands, which ultimately influenced his unique approach to design.
His designs are visually captivating and embody his remarkable ability to bring dreams to life through the art of fashion.
House of Nala is excited to welcome Stephen Van Eeden to the designer collective retailing at the Home of African Luxury Brands. His new ready-to-wear collection, Decadent Neutrals has launched at House of Nala in Sandton City and One&Only Cape Town.

Your designs have a distinct aesthetic. How would you describe your signature style?
My signature style is Feminine, Modern, and Glamorous. I focus on clean, uncomplicated lines, luxurious fabrics, and intricate detailing that elevate each piece. My aim is to create designs that feel empowering, unique, and deeply personal to the wearer.
What inspires your creative process? Are there specific muses, places, or experiences that influence your designs?
My creative process is inspired by a mix of art, architecture, and nature. Traveling to vibrant destinations often fuels my imagination, while the women I design for—strong, confident, and multifaceted—serve as my ultimate muse. Collaboration with other creatives also brings fresh perspectives that influence my work.
