Clothes move ahead of us. They set the tone, shape the room’s first impression and say something long before we speak.
On a national stage, that kind of language matters.
Invited by President Cyril Ramaphosa to be a contributor at the inaugural National Dialogue, Miss South Africa 2024, Mia Le Roux, arrived in a custom NALA Privé Atelier suit that carried her message with quiet authority.
Off-white hemp. Clean lines. Petal lapels and petal-cuff sleeves that softened the edge without losing the point.
It was the definition of a power suit.

Great tailoring does more than flatter. It offers clarity. But it’s in the details that a person’s true style prowess comes on show.
Mia once again collaborated with the NALA Prive Atelier designers to create this power suit. The petal detailing introduced craftsmanship and attention to detail. But it also was to show that she was approachable.
Mia has turned to the NALA Privé Atelier for some of her biggest occasions, including her participation at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico City.
The Making Of The Suit

NALA Privé Atelier cut the suit to Mia’s proportions and tuned the details for leadership settings. The designers decided on a single-breasted and sculpted through the waist so the line reads strong and fluid. Flat-front trousers skim the leg and open to a gentle kick at the hem.
The petal lapels and petal sleeves add a signature without pulling focus. The off-white keeps the story clear in natural light and under stage rigs.
When it came to styling, not a lot needed to be done. A square-neck top keeps the silhouette uninterrupted.
Pointed pumps, minimal gold hoops and a relaxed up-do hold the palette in calm, tonal harmony.
Choosing Sustainable Fabric Like Hemp

With fashion being one of the major polluters, going with hemp was a great way to make a statement about responsible fashion choices.
Sustainable textiles only matter if they perform in real life.
Hemp brings strength and breathability. It is grown with fewer inputs than many conventional fibres and it ages well, which extends the life of the garment.
